I'm in desperate need of some help. I'm at Uni in Liverpool and in September I will be going into my 2nd year.

Now, my chap stayed at home this year, he was 4 turning 5 so abit of a holiday wasn't too bad, especially with all the bad weather over winter.

Anyway, I really can't leave him for another year, I live in Kent, so I rarely get back etc. I just can't let him be a happy hacker for my friend. As he is talented enough and intended to be my competition horse.

I just desperately need ideas of any yards within 30/40 mins of Liverpool. I have my own transport etc.
I'm also not sure what to say/ how to word when I ring and ask - sounds silly I know.

I just can't bear to sell my chap.
Full/ Part livery would be ideal and I would love to be able to work at weekends etc.

Thank you in advance.

There are several yards in the Liverpool area you may find most are quite full due to a few yards in the area closing. If you can pm me with a rough idea of where you would be willing to travel to i could let you know of some. Also when you ring up just ask if they provide full or part livery stables and will have any vacancies at the time you want to move him. :)

Fosshey stud at Antrobus in cheshire might just be right.Good facilities.Part and full liveries and they often do like the offer of a hand. They have a website.

Thank you for the replies.

4 faults I have Pmed you :)

Really like the look of that yard eahotson.

Does anyone know if Bold Heath is like and if they do Liveries?

thanks :)

Try wirralhorse.co.uk (select the forum link) There are sections for general chat and then location specific sections too. (Not sure how well you know the area but there are parts of the wirral well within 30-40 mins of Liverpool either by train or car)

hi ya...bold heath is excellent if you want facilities, tuition and you do plenty of riding, but it is very busy so if you want to stand about making new friends ect its not that type of place. Getting a stable is quite difficult, people usually go on grass livery then will be offered a stable when one becomes free, their is also a good yard over the road to bold, they have a web site as well.

TBH i stable in liverpool, our yard is small not many facilities but its cheep and has everyday turnout.

If you are prepared to travel their are some great yards in Croft, its just off the M62. Have you tried Heath Croft stud ? thats expensive or if you want somewhere that does shows try croft or cockshot.

I used to talk to a girl on another forum from liverpool who stabled her horse at a place called 'bullens farm' but as i don't live anywhere near liverpool i have no idea if it's good :o:o

I stabled my horses on there and it is a very good and nice yard, owners are very helpful and knowledgable. Both compete at high levels

Two mills sports horses, based in Raby Mere, Wirral. They have two yards, Woodville think full is about £110 a week and it has an indoor and an outdoor or Bank farm (my favourite!) has a large outdoor, loads of turnout nice barn stabling and i think full livery is cheaper there as no indoor. They are close enough to hack between tho or 5 mins in a wagon to use the indoor.

Hi have sent a pm back pixyandsweep :-) I have friends on Willow Park and they love it there lol there is also another yard near there called Crows Nest which my friends rave about haha. Bold has decent facilities but I personally wouldnt stable there. If your after part liv I would recommend Ravenscrofts yard near Tarbock

Nokia- yes its Brooklands :-)
