My horse has wee bumps under his belly which are horrendously itchy for him has anyone else's horse developed this. He is fed hifimollases free small stubbs scoop per day and a handful of red mills horse care 10, çortaflex and micronised linseed. He gets hayledge which is very very dry so soaked. Had been clipped. Tonight I reduced his rug from about a300g to a200g. I'm taking him off the hifi as that's the most recent change to his regime (about 8 weeks) anything elsei can do to help him?

We have an itchy horse here but her problem is over her back and sides never the stomach. My donkey gets sores and her skin scrape came back as fungal. I would be inclined to get the vet to do a skin scrape then at least you may have something to go on.

Was clipped in late Sept has grown out alot so I thought maybe too hot. Was going it was the hifi. If no better in 3 days then I'll have the vet. I'm so scared he will roll in his stable trying to itch and get cast

Get an anti cast roller if worried.

It wont hurt to bath him in hibi scrub in the meantime.

Given the itchiness the cooler he is the more comfortable he'll be, whether they're due to being too warm or not. A friend's horse had heat bumps that sound a bit like what you describe except that they were over his croup/hindquarters. Unfortunately his owner couldn't be persuaded to reduce his rugs until he'd broken the skin itching and given himself cellulitis :( Bumps sounds like a reaction to something and the location's a bit odd. Any change in bedding at all?

I must add, the livery over rugged her horse prior to last year, since less layers and the mare on Soya oil she has improved no end.

I had a very similar experience with our warmblood. It occured over 2 winters, but never in summer. He is fully clipped out. He had a very itchy rash all over. Initially we thought clipper oil. We changed his feed, no effect. Visit from vet resulted in being given steroids, This worked but rash came back after 2 weeks. He always wore a thin rug under his turnout and stable rug. Washed by me!
He was allergic to biological wash liquid. Changed to non-bio and rash went. I felt awful as it was my fault
