Aghhh Dont know what to go for .... We have decided to upgrade our jeep for a fresher model and we have a budget of £7000 , We have seen 3 4x4's that we like .

No.1) http://www.usedcarsni.com/10287262 (big milage ) but I do like it, anyone know what these are like on fuel consumption ?

No.2) http://www.usedcarsni.com/6262711 ( again not great milage ) there is another like this disco with 88,000 miles but cant find the ad , Roughly same price .

And finally n0.3) http://www.usedcarsni.com/9636923 (according to hubbie it has a different engine , mercedes engine and not a vm one that is in our jeep )

Help me choose , state your pros and cons .
Many thanks

See thats why we went for the cherokee we have now , it was different and there isnt many of them about , but the head gasket went in it and hence why we are selling , Cost £800 to fix and good job hubbie is a mechanic and did most of the work himself but still , I couldnt really go through that again . Hes just off the phone and hes said about the cherokee giving bother with the injectors . I agree it is a nicer looking jeep than the other two but will it give more bother ??

I would go for the Jeep its the same one we have which is brilliant, Wouldn't even consider the Range Rover & as much as I loved my Disco, it cost me a fortune, it seemed to be off road as often as on (maybe I just had a bad one)

The time we had the discovery, hubbie was sitting stationery waiting to turn into a side rode(indicator on ) and seen a car come from behind , he knew it wasnt going to stop , straightened the steering wheel as there was a lorry coming the opposite direction , and wham !! golf gti smashed straight into the back of him , disco untouched apart from a slight bend in the towbar, bumper got a scratch that was it . The golf ?? well it was a right off . Drivers excuse was that he seen the indictor and break lights but it just didnt register with him , he said he had a long day

.... He was driving in access of near 50 if not over .. I was at the yard when I heard the bang .

What kind of fuel consumption does the Isuzu do ?

I work in the motor trade and range rovers are reknown for being unreliable esp as they get older, unless you have loads of money for repairs I would stay clear.

Isuzu Trooper would be the one I would go for , for its bulit quality and reliability plus they have been around for years so should be no problem for spares.

Jeep i have heard mixed reports.

Of course you buy a rogue with any marque of vehicle just make sure you check it over carefully.

Don't know if this helps but I had a 2.5 Disco and had to trade it in as it just didn't have enough in the engine to make pulling an Ifor Williams 510 with two horses an enjoyable experience. We looked at a jeep but they are expensive to maintain and fuel consumption is not good. I opted for a Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2. Pulls a very heavy trailer with no effort at all. Fuel consumption is higher but it's very stable on the road and doesn't have the wallow that you get with a Disco. Sorry for not sounding more positive but I would keep looking around at other 4/4's.
