Please help me find my dogs breeder.

Hello everybody I'm looking for some advise. My partner and I purchased our lovely springer on 10 of March from her breeders in Edinburgh. We unfortunately have lost her change of ownership form. We have been trying to contact the breeder with no luck and we where wondering if anybody has a " East court " puppy. Born on 16 January 2015. We have contacted kennel club and they have said they will send a duplicate to the breeders for them to sign then send to us. Just want to make contact with them. Any help is much appreciated.
 
I have found a litter born on 16 January, with one East court pup in it, but the rest of the litter all have different names so I don't think East court is the affix as such, which may make the breeder harder to trace. Is your pups dam called Bankies Babe ? Poor girl has had litters January 2014, July 2014 and Jnauary 2015 :(

That's Skye's date of birth. Her puppy registration name is east court diamond diva. They told us this was her second litter but people lie 😖. I can't remember the names of the mum and dad unfortunately

Thank you for all your help. I'm having to reset my old phone to find their address. I know they stay in Edinburgh and that her parents have too registered owners. Macdonald could me McDonald and muir.

Thank you for trying. I'm at loss at what to do apart form sending the forms out and hoping for the best. Or go to the house if j can find the address again xx

No we don't. There is only 1 room left in the house to look. And by room I mean junk room. I'll have a look there as a last resort. I think my partner is going to pay the money for the kc to send out the duplicit forms to the breeder hoping they are still there.

You might want to check with the gun dog groups on there, too. Was she bought from a house or farm type place? The KC should be able to help given she's registered.

I think I joined this group last night. I joined a lot yesterday to get all possible help. She was bought from a house. They had mum and dad. Most of the litter was still their plus a cocker spaniel. They will only send out a duplicit and asked us to contact them as a curtesy xx
 
Another thought, if your pup was born this year I think she should have been microchipped. The microchip company may have details of the breeder, or if not, the person who did the chipping so that may help you trace the breeder. As she was under 8 weeks when you got her I presume she wasn't vaccinated, but if by any chance she was the vet should have breeders address.

Hi. We got her micro chipped

We have called kc and they are going to send out new forms to the Bredders and hopefully they send them back to us xxx
 
The middle litter is from a Bankies lass not babe,
Can you remember the ladies first name?
Google the number? address?

No, unfortunately these are all out of the same bitch. The names shown are the names of the pups not of the dam! :( Unless it is an accredited breeder the KC don't enforce any restriction on frequency of litters.

1 litter a year is more than enough!
 
Why do you want the papers?
Your bitch may be a lovely pet but is from un tested stock with their parents & none of their siblings tested either.
We have found she is not from anyone reputable but is from someone with a pair of dogs turning out puppies.

I want my dogs papers so that she is in our names. I don't want people claiming that I've stolen a dog when I bought her. It's happened to friends with horses.

So do you know who her breeders are.
She may be from untested stock but that won't stop me from taking her to shows and enjoying life with her.

Papers are not proof of ownership - Far less than 50% of KC registered dogs ever get transfered.
The microchip in your name & veterinary records provide more proof.

For companion shows you don't need papers & they make no difference to you enjoying life with her.

The people you got her off probably have more pups due soon so look where you saw her advertised for the next litter.

No they sure aren't but they are good to have incase anything happens. We have been looking but so far no more puppies
 
Bit confused by this! If the pups are KC registered you cannot have more than 1 litter per year from a bitch, whether accredited breeder or not. The KC will not register them. So if the bitch has had 2 litters in a year there is a chance the pup doesn't have KC registration. Where have you found the info about the litters from? Also the ownership doesn't mean anything. We officially own about 20 dogs as many of our new pup owners didn't change ownership with the KC. The only reason to do it is if you then want to breed from the dog and KC register the litter of pups. Otherwise I wouldn't worry.
 
The information is all on the My KC site TripleOg, including the fact that neither parent has had any health tests. You are incorrect that kennel club won't let you register more than one litter a year, the only restrictions are if the bitch has had 4 litters in total, or has already had 2 litters by caesarian section. I do agree though that many people don't both to transfer, I probably still own (on paper) about 50% of all the pups I have bred.
