I’m back on board a couple of days a week rather than trundling along behind my ponies in a carriage... only it’s been quite some time since I rode regularly, and not really since I smashed my tibia and dislocated my foot three years ago in an accident with a carriage.
So... I’ve always ridden in Mountain Horse Mountain Rider Classics but they’re collapsing inside now (pair three or four over 13 years maybe?!) and blistering my feet. I’ve caved and decided I need new ones, but don’t know what to get!
They have to be short for use with half chaps, have laces and no elastic- I need support right up and over the ankle joint or I roll my ankles badly- even in the stirrups ?
Ladies, size 4, and I’d rather not take out a mortgage- so up to maybe £150?
Any ideas?

I don’t know personally how comfortable they are.

I wear Ariat Tellurides which are laced and cushioned but may not be high enough in the ankle. I also wear an arch support with them as I don’t think any standard boot is going to correct any major foot imbalance and my ankles roll in because my arches have collapsed.
