Ive got a 16.1 Dutch warmblood and shes lovely! but she can be really difficult. She has an amzing jump , does Discovery and will go far as she jumps fox tracks and bigger at home, its just going to take time! I also have a 15.2 tb he lovely to but i no he will only go to BN. I really want to get out there , (showjumping) and get a good name for myslef , as its part of what i want to do as a carrer.
Everyone says that my 2 horses are really good and my 16.1 will be amazing she just needs more time!?!

I just dont no weather to sell them both and get a schoolmaster/GradeB so i can put myself out there now jumping the bigger tracks.
Sorry its so long , what do you think?
 
Depends on whether you can afford to buy a schoolmaster, bearing in mind that you'll need younger horses coming through behind it if you want to keep going. If your TB isn't going to do the job for you then it would be kinder to sell it rather than try and force it to do a job it's not capable of.
 
He is currently for sale anyway , but the money we get for him wont be enough to get something a bit more educated. Which is why id need to sell them both in to be able to get more of a schoolmaster. If money was no object then id get one now

If the mare is sound and capable I'd stick with her. if your riding is up to the job you should be able to achieve her potential. Getting a schoolmaster to carry you round might get you exposure, but to be a successful professional there are no greater credentials than being able to get results with difficult horses. Also maybe advertise to see if anyone has a horse they'll let you compete for a season.
 
I think your right , KVS ill keep trying as ive spoken to my trainer and he thinks i should to , Thank you for your opions. Ill have a nose and see if i can find something to ride through the winter.
 
I would work with your mare and take the time to bring her on yourself rather than sell her and buy something else, that way when you do get out doing the things your wanting to do you'l have the satisfaction of knowing that its your work on the mare that has got you guys out there and hopefully winning!!
 
If you ride well, go and find yourself a really nice youngster with world class breeding, sell your other ride your good one and bring on the baby.
 
yeah if you manage to get the tricky horse into a fab one, then you will get a better name for yourself, as people will see you more as a talented rider who can produce, and not just someone who is pushing the buttons of a schoolmaster. Quirky ones sometimes turn out better, my mmum always says that!
