Please please help me with a posh name for my boy!
Whatever comes to mind- I don't want sire/ dams name included or his stable name.

Go wild!

Here he is, he's 3 in April,

I love your horse!!

When my daughtr was growing up she kept a book for names of horses over the years we have added to it but have never been able to fit this name to a horse. Its a special name and i think it suits ..............

My daughter is now a 2nd year vet student but she will still kill me for giving the name away.

FIREFROST

Hope you like it.

Oooo his gorgeous!!!!

im rubbish at boy names tho! i like firefrost as hes the orange of fire but a frosted bum! also like flaming ase!

I had one that looked like that 2 years ago

We looked at plays on the word snow as I thought his Blanket looked like he had had a snowfall on his backside so I looked at foreign words for snow;

For Example
Spanish
• nevado: snow-capped mountain, snowcap (Latin American usage)
• nevasca: fallen snow, snowfall, snowstorm, blizzard
• ráfaga: flurry (the word can also be used to refer to a rain shower)
• ventisca: blizzard
• ventisquero: snowdrift
• nevada: snowfall; the amount of snow that has fallen over a period of time

French: neige

Italian: nevicar

Finnish: lumi

I called mine Nevada as it covered the snow element and also the American Appaloosa background (Google Nez Perce Indians you find some great words on there too that you can use as names). In time it has been shortened to Vardi.

Best of luck he is lovely......Just bear in mind not to call him anything too related to how he looks now as chances are in 12 months you will have a totally different looking horse

i have a secret horse name idea myself... but im saving it till i get a 2nd horse... *dreams*

looks like someone has sprinkled him with icing sugar.. stunning! x

others i seen used on spotties...

hit the spot...
on the spot...

Not spot related, but how about 'Hovis Best of Both' as he's brown and white. Know of a jack russel called this and think it's fab (also like hovis for a stable name).

He is lovely!! Spot on is probably the most popular name for any horse with spots or similar markings so I'd avoid that. I like Hovis best of both but there might be problems with using that without permission from Hovis. Worth asking if you like it tho as a friend of mine had a horse named after a tea company and every year they were sent hundreds of tea bags for free!

Thanks everyone so much!

Flashback- this is wierd as I was definately going to use Flashback as part of his name with something else too! I'd never heard of any other one!

Lucy- I thought of spot the star too a while ago and I still like it as he's got a star too! I like frosted flashback...

Irishlife thats lovely- especially because its f's!

Chavhorse I like ventisca alot too.

Hellooo little soph didnt realise you were on here! As you can see Im still struggling with names but will definately be choosing one now lol!

Im going to put my faves together and do a new deciding post!

Thanks all
