Argh having some serious trouble, I need to make the add for my boy and I only managed to get some seriously poor pictures yesterday. They really do not do him any justice at all but I really need to create an add for tack shops this weekend. Please help, I need your opinions!?

All this is making me very sad as well, thank you for your help in advance!

He was being so very unhelpful, "I can't possibly stand square mum! I'll just look like a donkey for you instead

Oh and please excuse the belly, it is slowly shrinking!

It is a shame that he has his ears flat back in the photos where he is moving forwards better- I probably wouldn't use one with his ears back as it makes him look resistant and unhappy in his work.

It is SO SO hard to get a good ad photo, especially when you need one NOW!

Ah well thank you gorgeous_george! I do think he is a lovely chappy, its a shame the photos don't get across his personality because he has a big one!

Lol I have to agree with you there lzt!! Yep its a shame about the ears, normally his big donkey ears are practically touching!

Thanks for your help Night_Breeze!

the first shot is nice, he looks lovely, and the 7th- you could crop it to make the pic more central. it shows off his paces, and yes he looks alittle resistant, but he still looks very gorgeous

hope it all goes ok

He is a lovely boy, he's changed so much since I've had him!

I'm selling him cause I'm off to uni in September and travelling for a little bit in the summer, its so upsetting as would love to keep him but really won't be able to afford it.

I did seriously consider it, but then I thought by the time I can afford to take him back he'll be 13 or 14 and I'll be wanting something I can go and event on, but I think he'll be ready to start winding down a bit. Think it's fairer on him to find him a 5* home now, with someone that will be able to keep him forever!

Don't use the last confo pic, his front legs are really at a bad angle (th look too far underneath him). I'd personally use the first confo pic.
Although ome of the ridden pics are good his ears are back in the better ones making him look resistant and unhappy.

Good luck selling him

he looks nicer in the confo shot where his neck is arched - he looks a bit sleepy in the others

might be worth bribing with carrots! if you balance one on the end of a broom, you can hold it under his nose to get him to pose, and then quickly move it out the way for the photo!

Photos are the thorn in the side of every seller; I know how you feel. I generally take about 40 photos just to get 2 good ones.

I personally wouldn't use any of those pictures. The backgrounds are fine, just the horse looks very dopey and disinterested in everything, in them. Good luck.

Sorry - but none of these. He obviously knows you are selling and doesn't want to be cooperative. If you are using several pictures then use the one in you avatar. You will need some full body ones as well, but he does look appealing in that one.

I agree, the one on your avatar is the best. He looks like a nice boy, but yes, his experssion is less than sweet in the better trot shots, and he doesn't turn heads in the conformation shots.

It's going to be sunny in the morning, try to take loads more, and I'm sure you'll get him looking super - I do think it's the shots rather than the horse.

For the standing ones, try at the right moment to get someone to throw something in the air just out of shot for an alert ears pricked look. For action ones, maybe a small x pole again just out of shot to get him looking and moving forward?)

Good luck!
