Please help reassure me - is this a locking stifle?

Have spoken to vet and she thinks its a locking stifle but would like some second opinions as vet hasnt seen her yet, but i have just sent her the video :)

Its her inside hind, shes absolutly fine when on the other rein apart from looking a bit stiff, but everytime i try to get her to trot in a straight line or on this rein she panics/slips/falls over.

I'm no vet so this is pure opinion. I've seen two ponies with locking stifles and neither showed such an extreme reaction as that. It was also very obvious when it locked in the walk with the two I knew, whereas yours seems ok in the walk but cannot lift through the transition. Poor pony and poor you. Hope the vet gets to the bottom of it quickly. How old is the pony? Is it on any supplements? Is this a relatively new occurrence?

Shes 7, she never had any problems until she had laminitis in june and lost alot of weight very quickly. The vet thinks its where shes lost fat around the joint is causing it to lock.
Shes having oil in her feed now which the vet reccommended but shes only had it for a few days so im not expecting miracles yet. Shes a very highly strung, panicy pony so i cant tell if shes over reacting or not :o Did the ponies you know panic when you tried to pick out their back feet? Or stretch their legs right back when in the stable?

She's gotten worse since the time I lunged her! Poor Mysti :(

I know :( She doesnt do things by halves my pony!

The larger of the 2 ponies, 14.2hh, didn't like to move forward at all when his locked but if you walked him backwards a few steps it would unlock itself and he was fine. Witht he smaller one, 12hh, he seemed oblivious to any sort of pain and would try and mow the field with a locked leg and would still be a little b****r to catch.
I do know vets can be hesitant about diagnosing problems around the stifle as they are difficult areas to scan.
After your pony recovered from laminitis what sort of remedial shoeing was done? Maybe speak to your farrier to rule out any issues within the hoof as well. They might recommend silicone plates or wedges if there is still tenderness or mild rotation following the laminitis.

No remedial shoeing was done, farrier and vet said it wasnt nessicary. But i was wondering wether it might be her foot not her stifle but still doesnt make sense, its strange that its just as she tries to go up into trot it happens, and only on that rein and on a straight line, shes absolutly fine on the other rein just a bit stiff :(

the ones at work literally lock out and only really unlock by pushing them backwards and they still try and walk forwards with leg dragging behind them. they mainly do it in the morning having been in overnight once out and moving they are better and does not really happen again till they back in stable. could it be a slipping stifle opposed to a locking one
