Please help rug sizing - premier equine

My boy is 17.2 but has a size 78" (6ft6) saxon turnout rug with fixed neck, which fits well but is a little short depth wise (looks like he's wearing a mini skirt. He's also got a 7ft light weight Amigo rug which to be honest is a little large for him - He also has a bucas cooler rug which is 6ft 9 and that is a little large for him


so what size of premier equine rug should I go for??

I'd say 6'6" - they come up pretty normal on sizing but are ALOT deeper than the saxon rugs! I had same miniskirt issue with my connemara and a sxon T/O.

thanks - I've been using a large fleece rug underneath so that his belly gets a bit of cover cause that's the area that's clipped!!

yep premier seem to be pretty normal sizing and i think you always need one size up in Amigos. so if his 7' amigo is a little big i think you should be ok with a 6 foot 6 premier. hope that helps!

PE are well sized, so would go for the 6'6"

true to size i agree. my mare has the storm buster and all you can see is her head, lower part of her legs and her tail. fantastic rug.
