I was practically arena bound for over a year because I had nowhere to hack out. Immediately prior to this I'd had a bad fall out hacking and it wasn't until I started hacking out again I realised I was scared.
What has really helped me is getting into a routine. If you don't want to ride every day then promise yourself you'll ride 5 days out of 7. I also have a youngster and find I'm not a bit bothered when I'm on him, but can still get worried on an older horse. Just keep plugging away and the negative feelings will get smaller and smaller as you realise there is nothing to worry about. Good luck.
