PLEASE HELP!!! SCARED

So i got from school to yard today and went to field to catch hunni and she was fine, rode her fine and went and turned her out and when i fed her about half hour after she almost seemed drugged up, she would stop eating her hay and just stare for abit as if she has zoned out and almost seemed dozey,her eyes were tired like and she just seemed drugged up/out of it, but she would only stop eating for a few mins she was still eating and ate quite alot,she is drinking fine and weeing and pooing fine, she has days like this, but am i just being silly? it scares me, haha

Merryn does this from time to time as he eats his food to fast.
With him It's choke. Do you dampen her feed?

yes, i know its not choke as she was eating small mouthfulls at a time x

Merryn doesn't take big mouthfulls he just doesn't chew the daft pony.

If you are ever worried, the best thing to do is to call your vet and ask for advice, if i'm not sure, it's what I'll do.

Sounds tired to me! Mine just stares with head lowered like Eeyore! If I am around he does it a lot especially in the sunshine...goes into a trance!If horse is weeing and pooing wouldnt worry too much. Mine is definitely a day walker(sleeps during day and reckon is on prowl at night)!

My gelding used to do this also, almost like he'd gone into a trance, he had insulin resistance, and when his blood sugar level dropped, it made him dizzy and he'd need to take a moment to get his balance back. What age is your mare? The spring grass coming through may be affecting her blood sugar levels.
