Hi everyone,

I'm currently in my fourth and final year of University and am trying to plan my final campaign. I'm looking for thoughts and opinions, if you wouldn't mind contributing i'd really appreciate it!

I have been researching a material that has recently been developed called 'Lumatwill'.
Lumatwill is a fabric which combines reflective filament with a traditional worsted or tweed wool yarn. The cloth appears to be a traditional suiting or tweed but is reflective in certain light.

Lumatwill is currently used by a company called 'Dashing Tweeds', they design tweed cycling suits for ladies and gentlemen that wish to cycle in style without compromising safety.

Here are a couple of links to demonstrate:

Do you think this technology has any place within the equestrian industry? Would you be interested in it yourself?

A friend mentioned that when hacking to meets early in the morning, he would often wear a reflective tabard over his jacket, which upon arrival he would dump and never find again. Do you think this technology would be well received in similar situations?

Thank you for reading :)

Would have thought there would be a market for people that hack to shows but in my experience they tend to be less well off people:D

I would personally still wear the fluorescent hoody and exercise sheet as it is the bright colour rather than the reflective material that usually catches the eye.

Interesting yes, but we don't only need reflective when we're out and about, we do absolutely need flourescent for ALL light conditions.
