Our neighbour is selling her pony, and asked me what I thought it was worth. When it comes to small ponies I don't have a clue, so made a guess. Could anyone with more pony-selling experience let me know what you think?
She is approx 11.2hh very sweet little bay mare, no vices. Turns out with horses or ponies, geldings or mares. Approximately 14yo maybe a bit less. She was bought from a riding school, but hasn't been ridden for about 3yrs as owner's son was not interested, and so has been kept as a pet. She is very gentle, easily handled by a child. I have tacked her up and long lined her, and she was not phased at all. She will be ridden and worked before she is sold. She is fine on the roads, has jumped and done some little shows. Has not had laminitis or sweet itch or anything like that. I said that if she was being ridden, owner could get about £1200 for her - she is selling her with her tack etc. Is this way off the mark, or about the right price?
