Hi all,

me and my partner have just purchased our first kitten to come with us into our new home! All very excited!! He is a pedigree Bengal kitten any ideas on names would be hugely appreciated otherwise my OH may get his way with "cook"!

Thank you!!

*grins*

I've got one of those....... I've had cats of all sorts all my life but this is my first Bengal.... 'Fruitloop' may fit the bill (in the nicest possible way)

Ummm - they are lovely, but it's a bit like having a terrier too. They love attention, water, talking, attention, games, more attention and a few more games...

Oh - and waking me with the birdies for breakfast at er..... 4am at the moment..... Good luck:D

I suppose the obvious one is Tiger:(:o

Really though, I am not a good one to ask, I have a foal called Foal, two yearlings called Bay Baby and Paint Baby, and a horse that is still called Evie's Pony because we haven't agreed on a name after 2 months. :o

Barn cats are Stripey, Ginger (who isn't), Floppy (who is),
Sambo (very un-pc;)) Little (who is) Ginger Tom, Tom11, see? Useless.

Bengals are spectacular cats, lucky you, I can't afford $3000 for a pair:eek: You should check out the Flickr Bengal groups, bound to have some cool names on there.

Mmmmm I am hoping now roxysrider!

I have heard about then being a little more like a dog but I think from the research I have done they look and sound great- I've always wanted a dog too but can't so I'm thinking it could be the nearest thing!? :-)

I quite like the name Aldo too??

Don't get me wrong - they are great! They're just not your average sleep-all-day-and-keep-self-to-self moggy! They are very sociable and love company.

Mine has just belted in from the garden with wet toes (from frog-fishing in the pond) and landed on the keybbbbbbbbbboard....

PS don't leave your loo seat up - kitty may dive in....:D

Chaos, Mayhem, Trouble, All the things that kittens are lol! I have vivid memories of mine when she was a kitten climbing curtains, shredding wallpaper, and attacking toes sticking out of the bed! Good luck

My cat Gizmo is half Bengal. He is a little strange i have to admit. A little flamboyant, perhaps. Last week he brought me two little blue bird eggs, intact. And a newt, alive, but tail docked. Amphibian omelette anyone?

Hi I quite like Felix, Raj (meaning power, kingdom) a football name if your into football. Many years ago i used to know a cat called rodney marsh after the footballer. You need a strong name to match his personality;)
hope you have lots of fun with him

Fidget
Rascal
Dash
Ritalin (LOL)
Max (as in the mad variety)
Bouncer
Asbo... definitely, they tend to be
Duracell - they never seem to run out of energy
Smartie - as in full of e numbers
Shredder

Think you may be getting hte idea, they are fabby cats though, friend has 2 and they are SOOOO playful, you'll have lots of fun. Me, I'm sticking with my ragdolls :o)

I just want something a bit different... i have been looking everywhere for something asian or african - even names of reserves where they keep bengal tigers but still haven't come up with anything :0(

Indie
Taj (bengal tiger )
Rokan (bengal Tiger)
Bali (subspecies of Bengal Tiger) This one's my favourite
Javan(subspecies of Bengal Tiger
Caspian(subspecies of Bengal Tiger
Bangles (short for Bangladesh) Nepal, India, Bhutan, and Burma (all places Bengal Tigers live in the wild)
mowgli (jungle book)

Our Bengal girl is called Tekkali (TK for short) - it's a small village on the coast of the Bay of Bengal. If it had been a boy, I'd have chosen Nicobar (as in the Islands on the other side of the Bay).

There are some lovely names in the atlas in that area.....

Thanks all for the advice and suggestions!

Although there was many i liked it still seems as though the OH maywell get his choice..... although he said he would compromise with Cookie or Cooks!?? hehe
