PLEASE KEEP A LOOK OUT ?

I was wondering the same thing, or even if he was comfortable to loan him out.

I'm sure this person is very worried about their horse and I really do feel for them as it is an awful situation. I hope they get their horse back but think very carefully as to what to next
 
If she was that concerned about him then surely she would have checked out where he was going and had more than one telephone conversation with someone who phoned her to actually ascertain that the person was genuine to begin with?

And that's before I get started on 'selling' a lame/infirm horse.

I have nothing whatsoever against horses/ponies that are unable to be ridden for whatever reason being used as field companions or whatever, as long as it's in the horses best interests, but I would only let someone I knew and trusted implicitly take one of mine away. If I couldn't be 100% certain that the animal was going to be looked after acccording to it's condition and would remain in the hands of the person that took it I would have the animal euthanised.

It says that the horse was sold, so I'm assuming that money changed hands. I'm sorry to say, but that horse no longer belongs to the advertiser, and is the buyers to do whatever they wish with, however unethical/immoral their intentions are. Maybe they should have spent less time trying to get money for their injured horse and a little more time making sure it was going to a genine home....or had the poor animal euthanised. Surely all of his ligaments in his front leg being torn can't be particularly comfortable?

Sorry if I came across as harsh, but that's my opinion. I feel for the woman in the sense that she has no idea where her old horse is, and it must be awful always wondering and not actually knowing, but I feel that a lot of people do this kind of this to pass their messes onto others so to speak, when they should face their own responsibility, which, as the horses owner, is to ensure that horse is going to have a positive quality of life.
 
Our mare is available to loan at the moment, if I cannot find the right home for her, then she will be PTS, at home, in the surroundings she is familiar with. My responsibility, I'm not looking forward to it, but I'll cope.

I Dont know this person, just saw the ad and thought it would help her get better coverage ? We dont know the womens circumstances why she sold the horse lame ? I not saying I agree with what she has done, as I say its not for us to judge her,
 
But this bit:

But the seller is aggrieved about the loss of the money. Why would any body agree to PAY for a horse so severely injured? Seems a strange one to me.
