many thanks?

... can you also tell me how loose a browband should be? I have a cob one that is snug (couldnt fit a finger under) , and a full one that you can see a gap at the front of and fit a finger under..... its the one he's wearing in the pics

browbands shouldn't pull on the headpiece so you should be about to get a finger or two under, but too baggy can cause headshaking as they flop about.

The noseband looks ok, i think a plainer, wider one would maybe suit him a little better, esp in the show ring but that one is fine.

Looks good : )

I would possibly have it a hole or two shorter? I think the full browband would be better, it doesn't look that big and if too small it will stop the headpeice and nose band sitting correctly.

I would go for a plain, flat browband and noseband.

I think the noseband should be much thicker, 3/4 to 1 inch thick probably and a hole shorter. Especially if you are showing.

Is there anyone you know who is handy with photoshop and could give you an idea of how it would look?

You have a lovely horse there - Just my type!
My opinon is that a thicker type noseband and browband (you want them to match) would look better. I would go for a 'flat' type about 3/4 to 1 inch thick.
The browband looks fine to me, i wouldn't use the tighter one, but i do think your throatlash looks abit tight. You should be able to get a fist in it. If that makes sense!

What a good looking chap he is.....I would be tempted to try a wider noseband and maybe a couple of holes higher for say a working hunter class....but for everyday hacking i think comfort matters more than anything so as long as the bridle fits correctly[and it looks ok from here]a cavesson dosnt really serve a purpose but i do think a bridle looks naked without one ,dont you.....
