My car has been stolen off my yard within the last hour. In spite of camers and lights they came into the house at about 7 o'clock, while I was feeding the horses in the yard and took my keys off the rack. My husband was in the house. When I came back in, they drove off in the car. It's a white Prius MJ56 KZK and it will be in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Stafforshire or Manchester area right now.

They have my keys to our other car too, please help me catch them before they come back to steal that one.

Heaven knows how much this is going to cost us to rekey an electronic ignition car, hundreds and hundreds. And to replace a very low milage pristine Prius - impossible.

And joy of joys. It's my birthday.

Thanks for your help, or sympathy.

Poor you. I hope you get your car back in one piece and the little SH**S get what they deserve.
(((((((hugs))))))))
Happy birthday

Dirty little buggers is an understatement! - Thieving little s***s more like. Hope the police are on to it, and at least you and your OH is not hurt.

Happy birthday hugs coming your way too!

What a ****ty thing to have happen and on your birthday .Try registring the vehicle on HPI then if they try to sell it anywhere it will show up stolen - insurance should payout and check your policy as the other cars keys and expense of changeing locks ect may be covered .Good luck

Jeez not much of a birthday! I actually thought somone had take off with mine tonight but they must have driven into the yard and straight out again, fortunately not in my car. Unlikely to be in my area but I'll keep an eye out, number plates are my thing!

Oh thats awful .. and on your birthday...been there and had my pride and joy stolen and its highly unpleasant..

Just a couple of things - check very carefully re: your insurance so they can't wiggle out of it - i.e easy access etc. Secondly - if you have any sort of lease/loan on your car and they offer to negotiate with the insurance - be aware they will only go after the money owed on the loan/lease not the value of the car. Thirdly, if the police catch said pigs, they will simply call you and you will need to collect the car IMMEDIATELY - because they do not (as I assumed) automatically impound the car for safe keeping (unless its a criminal case) and lastly (and most infuriatingly) if the police do catch the thieves, then they will not pass on the details to you (to avoid you taking revenge) - which means you can't sue them for the damage done to your car. I hope your birthday gets better... (and move your other car which I am sure you will have already done)

My god, theiving *********, are getting more and brazen, i hope you get your car back in one piece.

Happy birthday, or, try and have a good birthday.

that is really sh*t - but stealing a Prius?? Do you/police think it might have been stolen to order as they are really not that common?

Hope you get it sorted and keep other car safe. ((hugs))

They are difficult to drive unless you know how, so yes, I think it's professional. My bag containing £100 and my credit cards was inches away from the keys. Now we have to find some way to protect the Aygo. We live half a mile from any neighbour, by the way. They were absolutely brazen. I always lock the door except when I feed the horses at night. They must have known.
:-(

poor you thats awful
my oh had his motorbike stolen on thursday he came home at 9.30 parked the bike 2 paces away from our front door at 9.45 bike was gone. best part of it all is that it's cost us £200 today to get it back from the police.

Hope you don't mind but I've posted this on my facebook account as I have quite a few friends in those areas.

Good luck in finding the car and the theiving b*stards!!

And Happy Birthday, hope things look up.

It's scary to think that they've probably been watching your house for days/weeks. They must've known where the keys were to get in and out without being noticed.:mad:

((hugs))

Of course I don't mind. Thanks for doing it. They've definitely been watching, it's the only time of day I go outside and don't lock the door behind me.

I will keep an eye out on my travels around GM and between there, preston and leeds! But... i think the plates will probably have been changed by now to be honest :(

Hopefully the police can do their jobs and get it back pronto! My cousins had a porche stolen in GM and it was recovered very quickly and intact. So hopefully you will have a similar outcome. Try not to let it spoil your birthday, which i know is easier said than done. Hope you manage to have a nice day x

(puts my birthday Cold into perspective!)

I have to say the Police have been great. The other car is insured for the £1000 plus cost of changing the door locks, ingnition and immobiliser. But we will have to pay the £300 excess.

Worse things happen to other people, thanks for your sympathy everyone.

Poor you. I'll keep my eyes open as I'm up and down the M60 and M56 twice daily. I'd be pig sick if someone knicked my beloved Yaris (although with 144000 on the clock, it wouldn't sell for much!!). Unfortunately you can be fairly sure that it has been ringed already. Equally unfortunately, I would agree with others - you have almost certainly been watched. Can you get the Aygo into a lock-up somewhere?

I really feel for you, I had my handbag, complete with purse, phone and keys stolen from the house, while my dad and I were in the next room. Since then I have locked the door automatically at all times.

I hope others will read this and do the same.

I was lucky the theives were too stupid to use the keys and actually dumped them in a nearby park so after an anxious night with my car blocked in by other vehicles it was safe. I didn't get anything else back though apart from my very nice tula bag which they had already ripped..........
