My brother (non horsey) saw my 'please pass wide and slow' hi-vis thing the other day, and asked "why are you telling everyone you're wide and slow?"

i'm never wearing it again, now i know how easily it's misinterpreted...

Wish I had been wearing yours I was pushed into barbed wire then my horse booted the passing car.Keep wearing it stupid drivers cant complain then.

My friend wears her 'Caution - Young Horse' one whilst riding my 16yo.

I want one that says 'my bum can't possibly look big on this' for when I ride the cob!

However - any hi-vis is good hi-vis!

Mine says "Caution - wide load" - and one of the other liveries pointed it out to me, he thought I did not know! (Is that the horsey equivalent of somene sticking a Kick Me sign on your back?!)

Mine says 'horse in training please slow down'
Seems to work most of the time. We've got 2 of those vests which is handy when I'm riding the 4 year old and my sister is leading out the colt in hand.

i'm often tempted to 'borrow' my husband's one with POLICE written on it... but then thought i'd either be arrested for impersonating a policeman... or i'd ride past some police-haters who'd then throw sticks at me...

I could borrow my Dad's police gear. :P

i have a MOD one but the writing is on the front and not very big :-( also has a matching exercise heet which usually gets a few stares.

I have known riders get into trouble for wearing "Young Horse" type tabards, because they are basically admitting liability and saying that the horse will be unpredictable.
I wear the Horsewear flashing tabard as it doesn't make a statement about my horse, or my riding!!

I have one of those, but got a different one when I realised how accurate it was while out driving one particular donkey _ I am wide, she is very slow!

A car passed us when we were riding, my friend had the tabbard on; a man leaned out of the car and asked 'which one is wide and which one is slow'!

Nearly fell off laughing!
