Please read - warning re: killer disease - Alabama Rot

Its a worry as so little is known about it.

When we had some local cases last year, it didn't seem to put many dog walkers off, even though there were notices put up warning of the dangers, particularly around a popular stream.

Hope they can give us some more information soon.

Didnt put dog walkers off what? as the source is not known...... or do you mean walking in those particular areas?

There was one particular area that was considered particularly dangerous to walk dogs at that time, and people were warned not to walk their dogs there while tests were being carried out, but many chose to ignore the warnings.

Its difficult, with dogs needing their exercise, and yet so little known about the illness.

Bladdy hell- folk are daft at times. There is ALWAYS somewhere else to walk!

This isn't related to the Seasonal Canine Illness, which has been in Thetford, Rendlesham and Sandringham forests (East Anglia area mainly) and occurs between September - November till the first few hard frosts...
