Hi
I have just bought a new horse who is a 15.2hh what i would describe as a medium to wide fit and would need a full size breastplate and bridle.

Please could you suggest me a bridle around £30-60, a saddle around £450 and a breastplate around £30-60 with a martingale attachment.

Also would black or brown tack be best suited to a grey horse?

Thanks.

Brown tack always for me.

I just bought a GFS bridle with reins for £38.99 off Equestrian Clearance last night - they have lots of breastplates/martingales on there too.

Saddle is harder for £450 - IME the saddle I like is always the one that costs more!

I always prefer brown tack personally. For a saddle I would probably go for a good second hand one it would probably be worth asking a saddler to bring a selection for you try on your horse. Bridle and breastplate it would probably be worth checking some of the online sales or ebay to see if you can grab a bargain.

I think that colour depends on the shade of grey - I bought black tack as when I bought my pony, he had black points, a light dappled body and darker dappling blending in the darker legs (so black tack was bought to show this off). However the darn thing has only become lighter so I sometimes think that I should have bought havana :P

As for the saddle, I think it depends on what you want, i.e. a deep or flat seat, close contact, small or large blocks etc.

Sorry I can't help much with saddles when it comes to brands/models.

Oh, and what sort of bridle do you need? (flash, grakle, cavesson, buckles or billets, hunter plain style etc.)

Good luck searching :)
