Hello!!

I am currently insured with NFU and paying £37 for £5k vet fees, loss of animal and £1 million public liability... I have just done a quick check on KBIS and found for the same PLUS tack insurance for £800 it would apparently cost £24.90...

Is there some hidden agenda here? I'm all for saving money and would like to know if you think I am paying over the odds...

Any recommendations?

Thanks :D

Today I have swooped from nfu to kbis. Had my renewal through from nfu and it had gone up £15 per month! I've recently bought my daughter her first pony so needed to insure 2 and just couldn't afford to insure the new one if it was to go up that much. I've swopped to £3500 for the vet fees so I could insure them both for £5 more per month than my single policy was last year with nfu, but that was just the compromise I was prepared to take to enable me to insure both.

After googling kbis I've heard loads of good things about them, but it does state in the terms u need to inform them of ANY vet treatment your horses have throughout the policy including when they have vacs. So just need to make sure you call them to keep them upto date.

This would be interesting what feedback you get back, I've just had my renewal through from NFU and its gone upto £49 a month which is ridiculous when I have the basic cover, I did a online app for Petplan and they wanted £79 exluding tack!!!!!!!!

AIMS part of SEIB- lovely horsey girls answer the phone and they paid my complex liver claim in a fortnight last year whilst OH's horse's cut hock took 3 months to get the money out of NFU
