I'm looking for some new jodhpur boots, I would like them to be smart enough for showing. I really like ariats but wasn't really looking to spend that much. I seem to be able to find expensive ones or cheap but nothing really around the £50- £100 mark.

Its simple, the more money you spend, the longer the boot will last. Cheap Jobbies can last a few weeks, yet if you get a pair of Ariats and look after them well they will last years and years! Some expensive boots are pretty much just for 'novelty' purposes like the Dare To Be Dublin ridiculous red patent leather boots that look disgusting! (though some people may disagree!)

In my experience Ariat would be the way forward, even the more basic of there jodpur boots (cost about £120) will last ages and still look great (if you look after them)

But do they? do you sometimes just pay for the name? I do like ariat and find them hard wearing, I have a pair of grasmeres that still look pretty good at about 5 years old and bought the conistons last year because of this, perhaps I am just going to have to shell out... I haven't seen the ones for £120ish, will have a look now, I was looking at the ones around £200. Thank you.

My Ariats were bought in 2003 still good as new. Whereas my first boots, the cheapest didnt last at all. So when my husband started to ride I bought him Ariats straight away and he wears nothing else - about 7 years old now.

I've got a pair of Requisite Robinsons boots, that with an added insole are really comfortable. They are around 3 years old, get trashed & are still waterproof & fully functional. I don't think I paid for than £25 for them.

I want to get a pair of fleece lined one's this winter - I think they will be super toasty!

I have these, in black but just pull on. I can honestly say they are the best Jodhpur boots I have ever owned.
Been ankle deep in puddles and mud, kept my feet dry. And more importantly fantastic to ride in, supportive but un-restrictive. Can throw them on out of the car boot for a quick test flight on a friends horse, or clean them up to be a very smart boot for the show ring. Perfect :)

Had them for just under a year, and are the same as the day I got them.

My Ariat long boots were £120 no idea how I got such a bargain but they were brand new in my size so if your not in a hurry, it happens so keep your eye open

I cant remember the make of mine but they were really really cheap. They've lasted two years so far and I don't really look after them that well. My feet stay dry in huge muddy puddles.

I have a pair of the Brogini Jodh boots, bought for £39 3 years ago. I wear them constantly through the summer. I honestly could not believe the quality for the price, they feel expensive! I am an ariat girl, having their trainers , clogs and shoes, but I couldn't stretch to the expensive joddy boots. My friend has a pair of Ariat Cobalt and we both agree my Brogini's are equal if not better quality at £100 less...what's not to like!!
