Please recommend your hat!

I need to buy a new one. I have a pretty small head and had a junior champion one previously but has been stolen by my son! Please can you recommend one. I do a bit of everything in terms of riding, but don't compete or show.

I've had Champion Ventair skulls for years, think I'm on my 4th now!
I'd recommend going to a tack shop and getting one fitted if you can though, some brands fit some people well while they don't fit others at all!

I have a casco mistral and I love it. It has the dial so is adjustable which I really like. Really lightweight and ventilated so no sweaty head. I am on my second as I had a nasty fall and the horse must have kicked me in the front of the head. I didn't even realise until I saw the hat so it did it's job!

I have a Charles Owen Junior and would suggest that you just get yourself another, particularly if you have the shape of head that suits them

I too had a CO kids own, upgraded to the Gatehouse RXC1, fits a dream.
None of the others in the gatehouse range fit but this does, am on my 2nd one.
Vastly more expensive than previous but with removable liner and total comfort, it wins hands down. Being a skull i can vary my covers too, from hi viz to muted to bright

I had a CO skull which I had to replace this summer, now have the CO junior skull, about £60 I think, it's comfortable and fits. I have noticed it only has one of the safety levels, can't remember if it's PAS015 or BSEN1384 - I would have preferred both.

I have hs1 and just togs velvet hat that's years old. I always go for my just togs as it's comfy and fits well.

EN1384 was withdrawn at the end of last year, but as long as your hat is PAS015 it will still be accepted. VG1 (I think!) is the interim replacement for EN1384 while they sort themselves out a new standard.
