Please send your best HHO positive vibes - I'm panicking already

Excellent news, so glad to hear bloods are good. Hope you've got a large sofa - and that you both had a good night. My daughter has 2 greyhounds and one has very wobbly teeth and stinky breath, maybe it's a greyhound 'thing'. !

Oh yes definitely a greyhound thing Maisie2, they are renowned for it! Islay was having annual dentals (and sometimes twice a year) before they finally took most of them out, and my big Hoover greyhound is the same!

How are you both feeling today. Hopefully you had a good nights sleep?

Well I can't say it was a good nights sleep, as Islay had been given a diuretic to clear the fluid on her chest so I was up and down to let her out about three times during the night! But she was very bouncy and happy this morning, we tried a short walk tonight but came home after 10-15 minutes because she really wasn't enjoying it :( But then she happily ate 3lbs of minced beef when she got home, so I imagine she isn't feeling THAT bad :D

Oh it was intentional, this is part of the 'Operation Make Greyhounds Fatter' campaign :D I hope I haven't overdone it tonight, she normally has 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 lbs but I had defrosted a bit too much today for some reason

hhahaha, poor Islay......... clearly had to help you out :) Try her on the defrosted tripe mince as well (if you can stand the smell) I used that and pet mince from the butchers to put weight on Nonny. Worked brilliantly. Cant do it again..... I accidently defrosted in the microwave...... left it in too long uuuuuuuuurrrghhhhh, the stench!!!!!!

I'm so pleased it went well and she is successfully gumming her mince. I totally forgot to post yesterday and then suddenly remembered her this afternoon - one of the girls at work has just adopted a new greyhound and I was tickling his belly, remembered about Islay and gave him an extra tickle in lieu of tickling her. :p

Yes we have tripe mince too Bosworth, but it doesnt go anywhere near the microwave - the smell defrosting it naturally is bad enough :D I will put her on 2 meals a day from now on I think, I'm sure it will be better for her to have smaller quantities more often :)

LOL BC :) :) I'm sure Islay would appreciate the thought :D
