It has come to the attention of the Beagle owning community that a New York based company purchased a UK vivisection breeder. It has now got a planning application to construct four units to breed beagles for vivisection Means live cutting up) If permission is granted many thousands of beagles will be involved & sent to laboratories. Please sign this petition, we may be able to stop it.

I hope I have done this correctly, I am no computer whizz.but doing my best.
 
It will add to the expense to import dogs so cut down mnumbers used. Also because others do wrong why should we condone it. I didn't know until now that UK law allows terminal experiments on dogs without the use of painkillers or anaethetics.
 
The testing will just move overseas where standards may be compromised. Better to have them here and keep a close watch.

I performed many hundreds of licensed "operations without anesthetic" when I worked in research. This term is applied to giving an injection. oral dosing or drawing of a blood sample.
(We were testing, for efficacy, most of Europe's insulin supply.)

Anything more than these procedures requires anaesthetic unless under very rare circumstances which are licensed individually on a case by case basis.

Do you know what "terminal experiments" are?
 
Terminal is END as in latin. I am not looking to convert the unconvertable just one signature will help. Making people think helps. Also what happens when they finish one big company is talking of send the beagles to China now they have finished. If they are not born they will not suffer.I am NOT opening a discussion on the rights & wrongs, I know where I stand & am looking for signatures from the like minded who empathise with these dogs. I'm not an evangelist looking to convert.
 
Your definition of vivisection is somewhat literal (as in the latin translation), and thus reads badly, it implies the animals would be concious. Animals are not cut up awake.

As it stands even if you shut this one down, they will just build another, it is a simple case of supply and demand.
