Its my birthday next week and OH has just told me he wants to buy me something horsey that i would never normally treat myself to. Either a few smaller items or one extravagant gift.

He says as im forced to do everything on the cheap that he'd like to treat me to a luxury horsey gift.

So what do i go for, some lovely new boots? or jacket? competition jacket? some horsey leisure type clothing? some fancy jods?

Anyone got any ideas?

Perhaps something that you got for xmas?

I dont want to waste this oh so rare opportunity!!!!:p

i am always a sucker for new grooming items, headcollars, numnahs, anyting colour coded.
or big stuff, body protector and new hat re on my list. New bridle...

do you have anything you bought cheap that you would like a nice version of? or is there something you have always looked at but never really 'needed' so could never warrant the expense on?

have fun with it! my parents refused to buy me anything horse related, said i had to choose something for me instead :( and it couldn't be a horse related thing for me either!!!

I think the thing you will use the most and will prob last the longest is a nice pair of boots.

any idea what sort of price range he's thinking? that might narrow it down a bit :)

I think i'd like something for me rather than the gee gees as is spoil them rotten, and im usually not turned out to my best AT ALL!!!:D

He never gave me a budget. Id imagine around £200 though.

If anyone has any specific items, like brands etc, throw them my way, its very rare im looking in the rider section of saddlery sites! and so have no idea what im looking for!!

Thanks guys!!

Oooh lucky you! hummm.... I would probably go for some nice competition breeches, new boots, snuggly winter jacket, the good ones that will last for ages cost the most! Depends what you need or what you would like! :)

I had a polocrosse lesson given to me as a gift to help get over Koko and loved it! I am now hooked! :p

But I know a few people on here have also had polo or polocrosse lessons as presents and they all seemed to enjoy it :)

Hmm....Musto breeches (fab, you can never have enough of them), a Barnsby grip saddlecloth/numnah (v fab, and I know it's for the horse but I love them :-)), Mountain Horse jackets are also v good. Hac Tac denim jods. Toggi Calgary boots.

Enough? LOL!!!
