As title really! Am desperate. The new horse has been wearing horrible tack for three years (before i got him a month ago) painful, ill-fitting, banging saddle.

Noone seems to be able to recommend me a really good saddle fitter on my yard.... so please someone advise me on a good one!

Many thanks!!

Crewe only seem to be doing adjustable trees am and don't have a resident master saddler (to the best of my knowledge.) Try Village (01925 629629) he's very good if a little on the slow side... and can make adjustments and not just sell you something new.

Sally Cartwright based at Beaver Hall is excellent. She does Paralympic Dressage rider Lee pearson's saddles. Highly recommended- I found her much better than Crewe

Thanks, but I think Beaver Hall is a little bit too far south for us. Im up north of liverpool/ lancs area, but i've heard of Sally so might give her a call to see if she can recommend anyone closer! xx

Michelle Miller is fab just google her - shes based in bury/rochdale I think.Cant recommend her highly enough. Doesn't just try and flog you the most expensive one either- I think I bought the cheapest on her recommendation! Honestly fab lady - really nice too . x

Ive used a couple of those mentioned on here over the years and agree with the praise given but I also reccomend The Village Saddlery. You do have to wait for an appointment, he isnt cheap but the saddle will be right.:)
