Well Dozzie was supposed to start rehab today. Just a little walking. So, not only was the ground covered in snow (I had already decided today was not the day) but she also has a fat leg! And not the ones that are supposed to be broken! So now I have a one-legged horse!

I have had it with horses. I am going to take up another hobby.

I have tried knitting before and cooking but they dont quite work for me!

So who can come up with a hobby for me!

Make me laugh!

Choccies for the most outrageous yet free suggestion! (I am skint due to vet bills for broken horsey)

tennis! you can put the bat in the cupboard when the weather gets bad and get it out when weather and sun is better! it wont be fat or frisky and the cupboard wont be full of S...!!!!

Cant do tennis! For a start I am crap at anything which requires any sort of hand/eye co-ordination (If I get something in my eye I could end up picking my nose- it is that bad

) plus both my arms are knackered due to....guess what....horse riding accidents!

Golf might be ok! But seriously boring!

Just cant see myself getting into golf LOL! It wouldnt be expensive as I have a field! And I could improvise with the clubs by using a stick!

Birdwatching? In fact if you feed them in your garden you can stay in the comfort and safety of your own home and watch them out the window nor are you responsible for them

belly dancing.
fun, sexy, no mud involved, good for your back... what's not to like?!
umm, otherwise, what about those cute little miniature hedgehogs, they look fab and if you start breeding them, i'd like 1 as commission for coming up with the idea!

Knitting?

My Mum used to ask why I couldn't do something sensible, like taking up knitting...

...can't think why rock climbing, winter mountaineering, ice-climbing, white water canooing, and riding loopy horses could cause her any angst, I didn't do them all at once

Actually I quite like birdwatching! Dont go out of my way to find them but like to see new birds!

I dont feed them though as last year I did and found myself rat watching instead! Mind you that is quite interesting! Watching rats find ways to get to the food hanging on the trees! They are bloomin clever little buggers!

Well the belly is free. I have one of those!

Hedgehogs sound fun! So long as they dont have fleas!

Not sure how marketable they would be though...but they may be the next designer pet so could make millions...hmmmm....got me thinking LOL!

They sound a bit expensive. Maybe I could find an ordinary hedgehog and bonsai it?

Guinea pigs make great pets for people that never used to ride their horses anyway!!
You put them out in the paddock to eat grass in the day, bring them into a nice warm straw bed at night ( or the foxes will eat them), give then a feed of oats and nuts and carrots or apple, they eat hay too . they can be made canter about in circles or you can "swim" them in a paddling pool, they also squeal and buck are give little hops when happy, just like horses do, but not so dangerous.
-AND, if you breed them you can get allsorts of different colours!, Chestnut, Black with a blaze, Grey, Speckled, Piebald, Skewbald, Palomino. An average back garden can support about seven , and the vets fees are cheap!!!
You can pick up a Guinea pig for about £6 at the pet shop as opposed to spending 6,000 for a decent equine version that will keep you poor forever.
Yes it would have to be Guinea Pigs for me!!
