Hi all, am hoping you can help me!
A good friend of mine is looking to put her mare into foal.
Maiden mare, sound, 7yo, 16.2hh. Sire is Maat (Hannovarian), Dam is believed to be IDxTB and herself was a very capable sj’er.
The mare’s conformational weakness would IMO primarily lie in her hind limb, generally just a bit weak. Then to be extra picky I think you could improve on front foot confo (she has a slightly low heel) and I would also say she is ever so slightly top heavy.
Ridden the mare is a nice trainable type, super scopey jump and 3 good paces. She is however very spooky and ultra careful, a bit too backwards/spooky in some ways.
My friend would like a duel purpose stallion, primarily proven sj but with the movement to also have some dressage progeny. The stallion should be scopey and careful but with quite a forward thinking attitude. Good bone with a strong hind limb confo. Aiming to breed a talented amateurs competition horse for 1.20-1.30 sj and medium dressage, around 16.2-17hh.
In an ideal world the stallion would be located central/south and available for natural covering. Looking at stud fee’s around the £600 mark.

Mine was awarded Elite Premiums from the BEF Futurity for BOTH dressage and showjumping.
Although uproven as yet, he is showing a lovely attitude in both disciplines. Interestingly I have covered my Medoc (Maat) mare by him, so that could be interesting for your friend.

Thanks all,
Will pass info on for stallion shopping soon

Might be worth having a look at Wolkenderry. Although he is only young he has been doing very well both in BSJA and young dressage horse classes. We have a mare due to foal to him in the next few weeks (very excited!!) and chose him because mare slightly weak in the hind leg which is definatly Wolkenderry's highlight as well as his temperament. Try Arazmataz or worldwide. Arazmataz is a show jumper - competes internationally but has great dressage blood. Worldwide is currently working advanced dressage under Maria Eilberg but has great jumping blood on the dams side and got great marks for jump in performance testing. Both at www.parklandstud.co.uk

Great minds! I've already told her to take a look at Carentino Glory!

He is the sire of my rising 3 year old, who won the yearling class at the BYEH at Tweseldown, as well as Best Colt, and Best British Bred. This is him at 18 months, and there is a definite resemblance to his dad!

Brendon are holding their Open Day on the 10th April, so she could see Caretino Glory in the flesh!
