Know a nice 16hh 4yr old Selle Francais gelding for sale.... very adult, smart horse, will jump a course at bout 85cm with fillers first time without batting an eyelid, has jumped ditches etc, but not been proper XC schooling.... be ready for Intro next year

honestly, they are out there! the horse in mine and shaab's signature (same one, yes!) was bought for me when I was 13 (he was 6) was bought for £3k and went straight in at PN just over a year after buying him - he has been a fantastic fun novice horse for many years now, and has got a few BD points along the way too. He was cheap because he had done nothing but hunting, hadn't grown into his body yet and was green on the flat - however it was totally obvious from first seeing him that he had a great technique over a fence and was going to be bold.
I honestly think that PN is within the scope of the average horse, subject to putting a bit of schooling in. When I was looking earlier for a horse earlier in the year, I went to see a few that were well under your price range that would have been more than suitable for PN eventing, given a bit more schooling and education.
