If I don't give my horse a day off in 16 days?

I was planning on giving him a day off tomorrow but i had a fab lesson today and want to practise some exercises tomorrow morning before I forget the finer details!

But it means I can't really give him a day off until next Sunday as I have a lot planned.
I.e.

Saturday - going to some all weather gallops for fitness work
Sunday - yard is having a bit of a gymnkarna thing, not sure exactly but low key, thought it would be fun. So that's a bit of a day off for him really.
Monday - beach trip!
Tuesday - schooling
Wed - lesson
Thurs - jump
Fri - chill out hack
Sat - eventing

Can't really give him tues or thurs off as need to practise so it means 16 days on the trot as last day off was last thurs.

I know it's fine really as he does spend 23 hours a day doing nothing but i feel mean!

Tbh I think people get to hung up on days off.

Most people only ask their horse to work at most a few hours out of a 24 hour day, so I wouldn't say you were a bad mummy at all :). He's got the rest of the day to do what he wants.

I never give mine a regular day off. I don't ride everyday only as I have to work/no childcare, so if I happened to ride 16 days in a row I'd just be pleased and my horse might be less mad!

When I have a day off I always spend a good hour a day doing horse related chores, so from that point of view, every day is off if he is only spending an hour a day doing human related chores!
