Please update the forum

I'm getting increasingly frustrated by the forum. I've replied to a number of posts recently where the OP never bothers to post an update.

When you go out of your way to help people, sometimes sending lengthy PM's full of information for example, it would be nice if people could be bothered to reply to you or update you so you know how they have got on. It's not much to ask is it?

I'm not looking for praise or admiration, just a simple acknowledgement would be nice.

My advice is don't expect an update. My experience of the forum is that many people who aren't regular users just - for whatever reason - don't update their threads with how things went. It's always a rare and lovely delight when people come back and update and sometimes they do so many months (even years in one case) later.

And then they can turn into a fight if anyone mentions that it would be nice to be thanked for taking the time to make a lengthy answer.

Yeah, I hate it too. You bother to answer a question and they don't have the decency to type a 10 second reply or even click like. It's not just occasional users either.

I always update if it's something big, like "what do you think this is?" scenario.
Obviously if its something like a recommendation for feed or a saddle cloth I'm sure no one would want or expect an update, people would be bored silly lol

It's sooo frustrating. The blood bank and dentist posts are the one's that I really wanted to know what happened. Never mind.
