I finished chemo on the 8th and have just about enough energy returned to make my target of going to Trailblazers as I promised myself I would do.
Three days after doing the first round Qs I was told I had cancer and I said I would be doing the Working Cob and hairy classes at Trailblazer - something to aim for.
Well, I managed to do the 2nd round Qs, nearly caused divorce with my OH as I have fluid round the heart and puff like an old pair of bellows when I do more than a gentle walk and he was so worried about me. TB gave me a wild card entry to the finals for the Working Cob as due to the surgery, I was not able to jump until a few weeks ago which I am very grateful to them for.
So if anyone is at TB and see a now very overweight and bald small middle aged woman puffing along on a dark bay skewald hairy, please say hello and wish me luck - I am very weak in my legs, the drugs screw up your muscles, 1 1/2 stone heavier than I started chemo with (feel so so fat) and need all the luck I can have to stay on round the jumps and still breath, let alone cantering and galloping.
Stinky will hopefully look after me and I managed to stay on and complete the classes which are the hairy inhand and ridden coloureds and the working cob.
OH is coming to look after me (keep an eye on me and stop me over doing things), do the tent and cooking and young Alice is coming to look after Stinky and if I am too weak, she can ride him the second day HC. All I have to is get dressed and ride in the ring so am saving all my energy for that.
