Well took the pony to his second show jumping today. Got there early this time, we were the first ones to arrive, que lots of panicking 'is it today?'
well it was and we were joined shortly after by another trailer so phew all chilled again
. Got there in time for the clear round this time so had a little warm up then went in. Mr slow and backwards from thursday had obviously benefited from his day off and some new hard feed went in and felt rather confident about the clear round
had a few looks going past one jump but jumped it later on
but he got a bit to full of him self and had a run out at one of the related distances, was paying to much attention on other things and going a bit quick so it took him by supprise
. Babyish runout over with he decided to listen to me and then jumped the rest nicley. Went in the 65cm had a nice steady double clear but no rosettes as we trotted for some of the jump off but still really proud of him he was looking for the next fence all the time and gave me a nice ride. Decided to do the 75cm too, wasnt to sure how well it would go but he was on form so went for it. They had put a few fillers in and hes not to sure on them still so thought it could be a bit hit and miss. But went in over the first down to the second flying them no questions
on to 3a the filler I decided to go for it in canter as I didnt want to break his rhythm and foward-ness, gave him lots of leg and he hardly noticed it
mummy was so proud and busy praising pony that he ended up a bit deep to b but he helped me out and picked his legs up
. Pushed on again for 4 as it had another filler but again he went nicley
he dropped to trot before 5 but cleared it nicley any way. Over the upright in the shade that was causing a few rolled poles fine and a nice positive line down to the wall
round to the planks again jumped them like a pro
He dropped to trot again for 9 but cleared it nicley
Had a little freak at 10 because he didnt do that before we started like in the other classes
but after that jumped it, down to 11 great
and then back over 9 the other way to finish.

very pleased with him and he got lots of pats and a few cheeky polos
no rosettes from today but a good educational day was had and I'm proud of him
He was then put out without a rug for the first time this year so I think he enjoyed that
videos may follow if I'm feeling brave but I only have the 75 as camera man got the wrong button
