Pleaserecommend an effective flea treatment (chemical)

Can anyone recommend a decent one? I hear Frontline spot on no longer works so not that one, please. Is there anything available without prescription?

to my knowledge there is not an effective one that you can get without prescription

advantage and stronghold are what i would use as previous poster said dont forgat to treat house if you are having a re-curring problem i would suggest indorex spray for that

I use frontline combo/plus and it still works (the usual frontline is rubbish now). You can't get it without a 'script in the UK, but I buy from these people. It takes up to two weeks to be delivered but they are so helpful and will try and get things out quicker if needed.

Recommend Advocate for dogs, effective against fleas and also does lungworm and there's lots of that about! Xxx

I normally frontline but noticed dogs are still scratching even though nothing is seen so thinking about changing will have a word with vet. Do you still have to drontal with advocate? Not read into it yet.

I only use SPRAY, Im not a spot on fan at all, so I buy 500ml bottles of frontline or have also used Effipro (again 500ml) bottle and I spray all dogs and cats and treat the house every 6 months with whatever is in stock at work, I think it RIP at the moment.

I bath my lots so coats are nice and soft, non greasy. then a few days later I spray them.
