Hi all

Please can i have some recommendations... i'm looking for an EDT to tag along with for a day or two to learn about teeth (part of my course - not dentistry).

i'd really like them to be friendly and nice as well as a good dentist. someone that doesn't mind me tagging along.

preferably within east anglia/east midlands.

I have contacted my local EDT (james arkley) who people say is good, but haven't heard back yet. also, someone told me he's not qualified yet? not sure if that's true? or if, indeed it matters!?!

anyhoo, ideas much appreciated. any HHO EDTs want me for a day or two? i promise to be on my best behaviour! :D
 
No idea whether shed let you tag along but Victoria Hammond is fandabbydosy (shes on here so PM her). But dont think shes anywhere near you xxxxxx
 
If you only need to spend two days could you stay in a hotel for one night? Not suggesting with her but it opens your sphere xxxx
 
We use a chap called Fraser Houston. He is really good, fantastic with the horses and very pleasant to deal with. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.
 
Tom Phillips every time - covers our area - wouldn't use anyone else personally. He is on the BEVA website

Edit to add - he is brilliant and quiet but fair with them

ccp, James came to me yesterday to do new horse on a quickie (v good of him to fit it in so quickly), and is back at my place in 10 days. They've been away in Cornwall for a few days which may explain not getting back to you yet...
I don't think he's on the EDT register but he is very good and very thorough, does a full diagrammatic report of treatment etc (something no other dentist i've used has done).
He's here 1st thing on Mon 13 Nov, do you want me to email to ask if you can go with him that day, as he's starting just up the road from you? Just an idea.
 
Martin Brookes was great with the mare we took to his clinic at White Barn Equine Vets near Grantham last month. Don't know if they'd let you sit in on a clinic day or not, but he was very good, explained everything & is fully qualified. Vets were good too as mine had to be sedated.
 
Dean Andrews. He's been doing my horses' teeth for years and is very good. Would definitely recommend him. He is very busy though so not sure whether he is taking on any new clients.
 
I'll second Mrs M's recommendation of Mary-Kate and add in Danielle Annable as well. They work together and are both very good.
