yes id say normal really !! they arnt really load lets say that !! but they are really light weight - i can clip my whole horse (thats body/head/legs) and not have arm ache !! also they dont get hot that quickly !!

My liveryman arena are just about had it, but ive owned them 12 years!!!
Ive just purchased the Premier 3000c which have had a brilliant write up, quiet and lightweight!

I looked at the Premier 3000, but they are quite expensive arent they?

I'm having the same prob...sorry to hijack your post but I'm also about to buy but can't decide what's best! Basically it'll need to do 2xPartial clips (not neccessarily on the same day) on a TB and TBX so not heavy coated equines but most importantly be quiet (for gelding's 1st clip) lightweight and cordless is a bonus. Was also thinking the Liveryman Harmony but they just look a bit flimsy??! Let me know what you decide MoonWalker!

Its such a nightmare isnt it!! I just dont no what to do, coz they arent cheap and you cant take them back if your horse doesnt like them!!!

What a dilemma!! Is your horse quiet to clip? One of mine is, the other I'm not sure as he can be a sod with the farrier so I'm having to go for something quiet. My friend has the heiniger cordless, they seem good but a bit heavy. Think the heiniger handy are meant to be quiet but still look a bit heavy...

Like you I've used other people's but now want my own so I can clip without asking first!

I've got the Lister Showman clippers, had them about 6 years, they are brilliant. They also have the advantage of coming with various types of power source to suit your needs. They must have been cheap otherwise I wouldn't have bought them!!!

I have the Lister Star clippers. I really like them. They are very light - I can clip for an hr or two with no ache in my arms. My horse is not bothered by the noise, I don't think they are esp noisy. My friend has some other clippers - Liveryman I think and she used mine the other day and said they were really good clippers.

I ordered on Tuesday they came Wednesday.

Liveryman Harmony are on sale in Robinsons - £150 and you get a free stabd-on box with brushes, clipper oil etc in too. Cordless, quiet. Wouldn't want to try to do a yard of horses but 1 or 2 is fine.

i have liveryman harmony, they are quite good as they have fine blades which is good for joey, was thinking about something a bit bigger though, will see how these get on with a full clip this year
