following on from my lack of confidence thread, i have decided to put some positive wheels in motion! ive been scouting the net for good riding schools in my area, not necessarily looking for the cheapest- want to invest in some good lessons to regain my confidence. I've spoken to some horsey friends and all independent of one another have said they've heard great things of Plum Park Riding school nr Towcester, but no one has actually ridden there themselves.

Ive had a look at there website but was wondering if anyone on here has any firsthand knowledge of there??

thanks so much :)

Sorry not first hand but have been there for a competition and to the vets and it seems very nice and professional. I have just started having lessons with a classical trainer in your area on her school masters who I am very impressed with so far. Pm me if you want any details. Hope it helps:-)

No personal experience of the riding school but many moons ago I used to ride at the trekking centre that Brian (the joint owner) used to run. I believe the RS is run by his daughter and so she will have his many years of experience and knowledge to help her. Brian is a good old fashioned horseman (imo), I bought my first horse from him and he knew what I needed better than I did!! I know people who have kept their horses at the livery yard and taken part in the competitions and they speak highly of the yard.

My daughter lost her confidence big style but she really wanted to ride. I booked her riding lessons at Plum Park and Silverstone Riding school. Plum Park was good but for my daughter she progressed more at Silverstone so I booked her private lessons with Sophie for a while. When her confidence grew she rode in a class and now one year later the difference in her is amazing. She is jumping over 3ft now and rides different horses every week. She still has a moment but the teacher deals with it great.

Hii I ride at plum park weekly, it is great for confidence & progression, theyre horses are kind. They have diffrent levels of abilities and ages, but all are treated with the same respect. I would recomend Plum park to anyone!

It is a fabulous Riding school the first one around this area i have found you can progress! hope you will give it a go!

Its not very far from me and I have heard its very good
