Sorry not sure if this in the correct place but thought id put here.

Unfortunately we have to rehome our Plummer Terrier Wiski.
Wiski is a 2yr old dog who unfortunately needs to be rehomed.

Wiski is a typical terrier and will only go to an experienced owner who understands them!

Good points:
Will walk on lead nicely, Had training, can travel, can be left for short periods of time, house trained, gets on with other dogs and our cat (but will chase other cats) good with horses.

Bad points:
Cannot be trusted around children (resident or visiting) Very strong character will push boundries, needs firm guidlines, will run off if he's sees a squirrell and come back when he's ready. Will chase and kill chickens, rabbits if given the chance.

Wiski would ideally be looking for an active life style, possibly working? loads of excercise. maybe a small holding, living with other dogs who appreciates he's not a lap dog, with experienced owners who will treat him fairly.

He's micro chipped, wormed, neutered, uptodate with jabs.

We are not looking for any money just want him to go to a good home and will not be homed with children.

I cant attach a picture (he's a long legged JR type golden with white paws and tail. please pm me if you can help or would like any other details.

thanks

thanks

OK, I'm at the 'considering' stage.

Good points:
We have an SBT bitch who loves boys, especially if they can keep up with her pace!
We live on a largeholding.
We have cats who only run if they're chased, until they realise their claws are sharper than dogs teeth.
We have no children. Well, that's a lie, we have 2 grown up ish children. 16 and 19.
There is normally someone around so the dogs are only left alone long enough for us to go shopping.

Bad points:
We have (enclosed) chickens and I LOVE their eggs.
We live in France

Hate seeing these posts - I would love to take on a dog now (and could do with a fantastic ratter!!!) but just not in the position work wise or financially to take one on (well ok, financially I could stretch but working office hours isn't the best for any dog).

I hope you find him a home. I have to say though I havent got a clue what a plummer terrier is!!!

I've tried attaching a picture of Wiski..hope it works!

Oooh he's a smart boy! Is he neutered? May know of a working home for him on a large estate.

ETA just seen that you said he is! Sorry i'lll make further investigations!

Aw he is a stunner! Shame my son is only 2 or my parents might be interested but I think they still want their grandson to visit lol

tweedette has nothing whatsoever to do with plummer terriers , breeding/showing/rehoming and is not available for anything to do with them since Jan 2011 and will never be involved again. Please do not contact her.

Actually reading it it does seem like it was written by someone else.... as you would say "me" not "her" if writing it yourself.

Trouble in paradise? Must have been something awfully wrong when she was so passionate about the breed :( I do know a lot of people who have 'left dogs' or 'gone out of dogs' but it's mostly been over human issue or a human personality clash and I will never understand it.

To the lass wanting to rehome im affraid the breed has suffered from unscrupulouse breeders , id adivse sending a copy of the pedigree to either jil jones of the pta or the same to the eptr,(glenn welsby,me:)) there you may well find somone willing to help out .

Just to add ...i have owned worked and bred plummers for 25 years as of this year. I find in general that they have an inteligent and workman like manner with an excellent nature.

I founded the PTA with Brian Plummer and also the EPTS .

We now do not recognise any terriers from legion kennels eg tweedette due to many issues including welfare and alledged crimanl offences.

PS.for the horsey lads and lasses
I work a part bred welsh cob mare (homebred) and a purebred shire mare on the private estate in forestry both trained by myself....keep the work horses working and keep the terriers working!!!
