Struggling to find a pair of jodhpurs or riding tights that fit my waistband with a full silicone seat.

Any suggestions?

My thighs and legs fit in an 18 no problem but they are always too tight & uncomfortable on the tummy area. Something I’m working on just incase anyone judges my current shape.

Any good online shops that currently have stock for curvy riders?
Thank you for any suggestions
Xxx

Dublin riding tights are looser on the waistband, but the best fit I have are bloomfields latina riding tights, and le mieux seamless riding tights they are a perfect fit for shapely bottoms etc
Gs equestrian have their own make which are cheaper, they are a really good fit too ☺️

Jodhpurs.uk do a nice balance riding tight. Very similar to the noble outfitters one that I loved but isn’t available in the uk any more. The balance ones are a slightly thinner fabric which is more comfortable. Decent price too.

I have a tight/bad hip that can't cope with thick elastic waistbands so I choose tights with the double thickness fabric waist, so they don't cut in.

Kerrits Freestyle and their thermal version have 2 big thigh pockets (the pockets are big not the thighs if you see what I mean!), double thickness waist but have the sticky knee and lower leg not seat. The thermal version have a full seat. Howeer they're around £75ish but in end of season sale £35, bargain!

https://kerrits.com/products/free-style-knee-patch-pocket-tight

ECW The Warehouse (jodhpurs.uk) do a full seat version of their budget tights which is £24.99, thinner fabric and only 1 pocket but so cheap who cares! The nkee patch ones are £20

HorzeHoods Contraflex are very similar to Kerrits but thicker more supportive fabric, 2 pockets and loads of plain colours, also ones with hi viz inserts & the orange insert ones are £29.99!

I think Flexars are now doing a silicone seat? I believe they go up to a 22
Oh and have just checked CT equine collections and they do a very sticky seat too up to 18-20. I have a few pairs of these and they’re super grippy!

Can I ask if the waist is actual elastic, or double thickness fabric, please?

Asking for a friend :D

Its double thickness waistband, they stay up over my love handles really well ? and I would like to say - holds the wobbley bits down when riding ?
They are a lovely company and will respond to messages if yoy want to ask questions to.

I like the Horzehoods riding jeans. They're a lot more than I'd usually spend, but they're so comfortable that they've taken over from my regular jeans.

Unfortunately, their hi-viz leggings are a terrible fit on me - perfect on the calves, a bit tight on the waist, and hugely baggy on the thighs.

Aubrion team breeches are amazingly comfy with a wide high waist band and silicone seat. In fact, aubrion jodhpurs in general are comfy and sizing is good.

Might just be the style I bought but didn't like the GS Equestrian ones at all!
Yes!!! Gs have different styles, one lot I dont like! The ones with sticky knees only are short on waistband and smaller made but very comfy and the sticky bums are longer on waist but a bit neater to start with, they do get better the more times they are worn

try bloomfields latina , comfiest ever and the sticky part doesn’t feel sticky till its against the saddle, and the sticky bits dont wear off ?

And are the Aubrion ones actual elastic waist or double thickness fabric - which ones do you recommend? I like the look of the Team ones but I'm sure I looked at some with thick elastic waists....

I didn't get on with the GS ones either, knee seam dug into my knees as I am long from hip to knee.

Hold my beer .. this is my thread! ?. So as a fully certified and paid up member of the heavyweight cob club I fee qualified to add my 5p.
I’m a size 20 and I wear aubrion tights, I really love them. Hold you and suck you in and wear really well.
But the best tights by a mile are crzy yoga naked feel tights on Amazon. They’re amazing and wear brilliantly, hold you in and wash and wear so well. I wear the size 16 so they stretch like mad and I’m told don’t go see through. Hmmm something to check ?.

I wear base layers and compression tops from Amazon too and ariat and under armour and then a gilet.
Long boots I have an embarrassing amount of them but they’re from, fuller fillies (by far the best fit for height but the zips are shit - just get a cobbler to swap them
for me). Ariat xxx fat boots, wide boot company, tuffa and equitector.
You’re welcome ? … show gear - mostly from Equetech and it’s very hot or miss but I have 2 dressage coats from them and the zips have been a life saver.

Thank you so much for the boot recommendations!! I have really been struggling with this and gave up last time and just rode in my yard boots for a while. I'll have a look at these.
I will also second the Aubrion riding tights and breeches, I just had two pairs delivered from ebay for £30 each new - so they have good deals out there too!

How is the foal with the impressive whiskers? Please tell me they have stayed!!

I am about to list a spanking pair of black tuffa riding boots, worn twice, size 6, ?

These are amazing whatever your size (I am larger sizing) https://equinesplendour.co.uk/product/autumn-navy-full-seat-riding-leggings/
Wash & wear perfectly, lots of other colours.
I have asked if they are bringing out a heavier weight as I can't face not wearing them in the winter and going back to jeans. The good news is they are.
Oh these look lovely! If you're between sizes would you recommend going up or down?

My recommendations are Toggi Sculptor tights, the most comfortable and flattering tights I have, waist band sits perfect, they wear really well and you can get away with your normal size or a size smaller!
I quite like Horzehoods too although the waistband doesn't sit quite at the right height for me but I am quite long!

That’s a really good deal!
The baby is a let down … all gone! Just normal average ones now. He can sit in the corner and think about what’s he done ?. He’s also going liver chestnut now which is lovely but I wanted him to be the orangest orange thing that ever was! I will try and attach a photo for your perusal.

Excuse the poo stained wall .. my lovely old boy like to squash his bum against the wall and poo (which is great for mucking out but not for photos of one’s foals).

Oh no! I'm gutted, they were glorious! Liver chestnut (esp with white legs) just so happens to be my favourite colour, so if you need someone to take him off your hands, I am but a message away ;)

? They were glorious! Lucky he is handsome as I’m not convinced he’s the sharpest tool in the box, but it adds to his charm.
