I thought it would be nice to do a PN 3 day event this year.......but struggling to work out the benefits of paying out a lot of money (ie accomodation, stabling etc) and not actually knowing what i will get out of it...maybe just the experience?? The only difference i can think of is the trot up and the roads and tracks? So is it worth the extra hundreds of £'s to do this, plus the normal stuff just spread over 3 days?

Maybe i just dont know enough about them, but opinions would be most welcome!!

thanks

Qualify for the RC Open Horse Trials Champs! A quarter of the price!!

Or do Milton Keynes Unaff 3DE - they run them twice a year - brilliant!

It is very expensive . we did Hartbury a couple of years ago and it was a social thing very nice but some horses were spun on run up first day[Very expensive] and some were spun on third day [disappointing] If you do it treat it as a holiday ,well you won't afford a holiday as well

Yeah I agree - aim for the RC HT Open Champs!! Excellent fun and usually your RC will pay for it too...... cheaper than PN 3DE anyway.

Itd be nice to do it once for the experience so maybe just try it. It is fun doing the R & T and the steeplechase. The trot up is damn scary TBH.

I can imagine it being scary for me as i really cant run to save my life....always feel like im going to topple over!! Tried to trot my mare up the other day and managed to get my foot stuck in some long grass

was quite embarassing !!

May look in to Milton Keynes as not a member of a riding club this year!

Come on girl. Join SRC then! With two neds you have two chances at qualifying for Offchurch. We're looking for some more Open people as the rest of us are too scared to do it!!
