POA

Fabulous idea about a charity!! I didn't think of that at all.

I'm glad people realise I'm joking :P I know humour (especially my humour) doesn't always translate well in text.

I've never bought a horse before, so it will be a new experience. I'd known Ned since 2008 and Cookie for 2yrs before getting them, so if I do end up getting something else, it will be completely new territory!
However, my new man (who's infinitely better at horses/riding than me) has promised to help me :)

I really don't want Cookie to go, I love him dearly :( But she's my best friend and needs a friend for her horse. She's in more of a sticky situation than me, so I feel I have to help her out.

But A* idea Koko! Time to have a lookie at some charities.

Also, I think I should have 2 jobs soon, so hopefully I'll have a little more money!

Don't like at all, Just not my type. You can find some real gem's if u have a good look around, PB cost me £350 as a 3yo. She's turning out to be a real useful sort. If you want help looking give me a shout, The lady I got PB from always has all sorts of lovelies in

I would love a field share but I cant. I said I will not go into more detail until I can, you're putting untrue facts into the situation. Do you not realise I'm joking about the colour thing?! And I was joking about the foal thing too. I have said more than once that it's highly unlikely ill get that horse, in fact its pretty impossible.
I can't stand when people put words in my mouth and make me,out to be the bad guy. I would not be so stupid as y9uoure making out.

I said i cant afford 3, but i can afford 2.
Please ignore typos.

Interestingly that's the second time you've said you were joking about the foal. I do find that very strange as you were posting about it for over a month in various different ways - the threads are all still on here if you've forgotten.

As for the question you asked this time. I don't get wound up by POA on an ad. If the horse is perfect I'll ring if not I don't bother. I think people putting POA are limiting their market. The only people I've known personally who have done it have been trying to prevent acquaintances from knowing the advertised price. That never works as as soon as the horse is advertised the price will be known to several people who will gleefully pass it around to everyone they know.

And the horse. His behaviour under harness is what might make him worth anything, otherwise he's worth a very few hundred.

FWIW if you need to find a friend for Ned short term whilst you look for something suitable there are quite possibly people on here who would be prepared to lend you a field companion. Certainly I've done it for people in the past.

Also, while we're at it...what's the smallest I could get away with? I'm 5ft8 and 130lbs.

You're sensible in looking for something smaller - eat less, poo less etc. You'd get away with a decent 13.2, but a 14hh native type would probably be the best bet.

I wasn't joking about getting a foal, I really wanted one! But everyone latched on to the pretty pictures thing...surely that was clearly a joke? Anyway, that's in the past.

I've spotted a nice 13.3 cob on the blue cross, I might have a look at him :D
