Point 2 has a cheaper competitor!

Looks like its more for falling off a boat than off a horse!

This jacket is extremely slow to deploy,And while I think the point 2 has problems, this one doesnt even get to the start.

Thanks for that. Just read through the posts and thought them very interesting. Point 2 recently sent a questionnaire to me, as a user, regarding usage and falls etc. It will be interesting to see the results - I will let you know if I see any.

I was interested to see that in both threads people who had actually used the jacket and had falls were very pleased they had been wearing the jacket and felt it had definitely saved them from injury.

I bought the jacket as I recently had a fall and and suffered a whiplash type injury (before buying the jacket). What decided me was that the jacket gives neck support - much like the headrests of a car which are there to minimise whiplash. I have also had a fall years ago wearing a normal body protector and suffered a range of injuries and a lot of pain so haven't bothered since.

I think my take on the subject thus far is......without any protection you can get injured badly, with a body protector or Point 2 there's more of a chance you won't be injured quite so badly...maybe!

I will post any more info I get - good or bad.
