Point two air jacket help !!!

So tomorrow I am off to get an air jacket fitted , I had my mind set on the original point two but have just seen the new soft shell waist coat air jacket that they do .
Basically , question is what would you go for ? The original point two air jacket or their new soft shell jacket and why ?

You cannot get an original anymore as they were not made by them! The hit air is the superior product now in my opinion!!!
 
I'm off to get a Helite jacket from Your Horse live today. They were the original makers of the Point 2 before they went there separate ways. I don't like some of the design changes on the new Point 2's So I'm going for the original air jacket. I do like the look of the HitAir, but I believe the Helite inflates quicker..
 
The softshell looks lovely but is a tighter fit. Because of that it will be a lot warmer on a summer day, and there will be less flexibility for wearing more or less clothes under it.

For those reasons I would have the original design.
 
depends what you are using it for?

if you plan to wear it xc, can you fit your normal BP under the soft shell? will you be boiling hot?

if you plan to just wear it hacking/hunting, the soft shell looks lovely as it would be comfy etc.

if you are not sure what you plan to wear it for, get the original design as you can then wear it hacking, over a lighter top, thicker jacket and over a bp for xc.

Thanks everyone . Got my point two pro air Yesterday and had a fall today !! Pony tripped around the XC fell down and I inflated ! Highly reccomend these jackets I walked away unscathed . It was just like landing on a pillow :)
