I know there is a height size guide on the website but are these sizings set in stone? I saw the point two air people at an event last year and they really couldnt decide wether I was a size small or medium? I'm 5'2 /5'3 but not flat chested at a DD - would this make much difference? I know of someone selling a medium sized one but a bit unsure wether to go for it or not?

From what I recall from when we bought one for my daughter, the sizing has more to do with height than width as there are adjustable straps to alter the fit. It is important that the jacket protects the lower back and is therefore long enough. Your best bet would probably be to go to somewhere that sells them to have it fitted - so many more places now have them that I can't imagine you would have to travel far.

agree with optimist try and find a stockist close - rideaway maybe?

For me the size guide is true as i'm 5'10 and have a Large but i did nearly buy a medium as that looked fine when i was standing but when i tried it on the 'headless-horse' ;) it looked too short

so i guess it could depend on how much of your 5'2 self is torso ;)

My daughter is 5ft 4 and a size 6/8 and they fitted her with a medium. She is long in the torso. Recommend you get it fitted properly though!

charliemouse - think theres my answer as your same as me then!

The girls on the stand couldn't be sure if the small covered my coxyx fully (when we inflated it) but tried the medium on without inflating it and I did end up with a bit of a 'long tail!'

I might pop to one of the shops near here and try both again just to be sure. Dammit - thought I might save a few quid buying the med one for sale!

Probably a stupid question, but why does it matter if the P2 is too long? I can see with normal ones they would bang on the saddle, and that if P2 is too short you dont get protection where you need it, but Im having a hard time working out for myself why it would be a problem if it comes down a bit far when you're already on your way to the ground.
