Hi,

I'm looking at buying an air jacket for just general use really, hacking & schooling etc, but would like to invest in a jacket as I do a lot of road work with my boy and I think it would be wise to protect myself, my question is, which one would you recommend? Has anyone tired both of them?

Thanks Laura

Defo the hit air, more advanced design. More comfortable when it goes off, yes I've tried both.

Better protection as designed and approved for motorcycles as well as equine

Looks better as you can wear it tight to your body instead of loose like you do the 2point

Ah right ok thanks, is it me or do the professionals seem to wear more of the Point Two? Do you think it's just because they've been given them to promote and try or have been sponsored by them? Maybe I'm wrong but just seem to have seen more of the Point Two around?

I like my P2

Looser fit is cooler in summer, and more flexible for wearing more or less clothes under it without adjusting it.

I like the neater tail on the Hit Air design though.

I've got a hit air. Hardly feel it on. Much prefer the thought of it exploding out rather than imploding in when it goes off. Although I haven't had to test it yet!

They're pretty much the same imo (having worn both).

The Hit Air looks neater but I actually prefer the coverage the P2 provides when inflated.

I love my point two which I have tested more times than anyone has!

I love the neck support it gives giving FULL protection to the spine which is very important.

It doesn't 'implode' it explodes just the same! It is neater obviously as its it contained inside the 'shell'

As a first user of Point Two there was not even a hit air about as at that time they still didnt have their CE mark which came later.

Of course price will influence anyone with the hit air being cheaper

I will and always will stand by my point two plus I cannot fault their after sales service even now several years on, they are still brilliant.

Love my Hit Air - it saved me yesterday! Was like falling onto a crash mat. I bought mine at Burghley this year after trying on and looking at both HA and P2. I thought the P2 didn't offer as much coverage and was more bulky to wear. The HA seemed quieter on inflation.
I have worn my HA every time I've ridden and as it only weighs 800g you don't know you're wearing it.
My horse fell yesterday at full speed and I was underneath him - as he tried to get up the jacket stopped him rolling over onto me. Worth every penny. I didn't even realise it had gone off until half way leading him home!

Don't discount Helite - I got cheaper than Point 2. V good service and pretty identical to previous model P2 as they made it! Had one fall and didn't feel it. I wear it all the time now - preggers on youngster but I'll probably carry on after - why not?!
