point2 - so whats the latest? is this BE legal?

yes, the Rodney Powell stock/support is allowed in BE, i wore one for a long time. unfortunately they'd sewn the velcro on with the scratchy hook part facing inwards though so it rubbed my neck raw and i gave up with it, not sure whether they do the velcro the other way now!
i'll have to sit on my hands about your other question, sorry. ;) ;)

yep, they are legal for BE and I will be wearing mine this season.

Not sure about neck support but I bought mine as cannot afford to have another high impact fall on my shoulder.

sorry should have been more clear... i know the point2 is obv ok for BE, but I am interested in how much it protects your neck?

Also, is the neck support BE legal, and if so, would you wear it along side your point 2 and BP ? Do we think the neck support actually offers protection?

i have to sit on my hands about your first point, i'm not allowed to post what i think about p2s.
yes, the RP neck support is BE legal. I think it offers some protection because it's padded, and you can adjust it for tightness. A well tied tight stock offers some support too, but tbh not much. I haven't seen the Ornella one that amage mentions, so can't comment on that.

if you want anti-whiplash neck protection (like a HANS one used for motor racing) there is an american rider who wear a motorbiking neck support, i've been told.

I have a rp stock and have ony used it once and the thing came undone halfway round the course! I think it was maybe catching on my body protector when i was turing my head etc to look - I must have a short neck!

have recently purchased a point two (yay!) although im hoping its going to be a complete waste of money that I will never need! ;)
