Sorry a bit pointless but just needed to tell everyone that I had a lesson on my hairy Molly yesterday and she was such a superstar!
Now bearing in mind this pony was driven for the first 9 years of her life, then hacked for 5 but I had her trotting really slowly and controlled, she was softening, rounding, working from behind and coming onto the bit for short amounts of time
. We even cantered a (approx) 15m circle
, several times
!! When my "instructor" (friend's 18yo neice
, but she's really good) told me to do the circle in canter I said there was no way my hairy could do that, but we did and were almost balanced after a few go's!!
It just goes to show what a super pone she is and that she can do it when she/we both put our minds to it! She wasn't impressed with the sweat dripping down her face tho! I don't think she has ever worked so hard!
I'm so disappointed that we only seem to have had this break through once the dark nights/mornings have started drawing in
. Roll on spring!
