Sorry but think this is going to be one of those pointless threads, but just sitting here on my own reading through all the lovely snowy posts and feeling quite jealous of it all. It looks great fun riding in the snow, and really really want to do it(need some snow first). However it is -1 at the mo getting up to about 0 or 1 during the day. Went to the stables yesterday to just exercise horse in the ring to find ring frozen solid. Went out on a hack with YO, and had a chat about riding in the snow, and she said when the weather gets worse all rides are cancelled!! Obviously guess if ring not frozen could ride in there. But gutted, not sure I'm ready to take my horse out in this cold on his own as he is a lot more frisky and is still quite young at 6. I've only had the confidence to hack out on my own since Aug, and have been doing really well but don't want to ruin it. Just feel a bit annoyed really about them not going out in the snow, thought it would be fun. So yes pointless post, don't expect any answers but moan moan moan. Do have a crappy cold so feel a bit moany and mis. Sorry!!
